Kathleen learned the ancient art of yoga in the mountains of India. She served as a Positive Psychology mentor, counselor and teaching assistant throughout college and continues to integrate Positive Psychology into her teachings to this day.
A teacher by training, experience and interest, she is now a certified 200-hour-trained yoga instructor. Meg believes in the value and benefits of building a toolbox of mindfulness resources and practices, including yoga. What is practiced during mindful moments and yoga enrich the lives of each practitioner. She believes that these are gifts practitioners give themselves resulting in far-reaching benefits for both the individual and the community at large.
Samantha’s relationship with mediation and yoga began by accident. The practice of synching the breath with
movement helped quiet her mind and send her to a place of calm surrender. From that point on, she began to regularly practice yoga, mindful meditation and self-discipline to take control of her anxious mind. Today, she wants to help others who may be struggling with a similar situation, find their peace. She has earned her RYT certification and is also certified in Yin Yoga. Her dog Bacon is a Certified Therapy Dog with ROAR (Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue) and often makes an appearance at our monthly Therapy Dog Yoga workshop as well as some of her own classes. |
