WHAT IS MAGIC? Magic is yours. After 14 years of studying cultural rituals, I found that the way someone connects to anything energetically is a unique, personal journey and that there is no right or wrong way. In fact, the more that you make it yours to more powerful it becomes! Magic is our way of connecting to hidden realms and greater energies to create our highest reality through oneness. Magic is mysterious, and the only way to learn more about it is to create a practice and experience it for yourself. You have stumbled upon this experience today for a reason, and YOU get to choose the reason. In this experience, we are exploring the basics of magic ritual and symbolism and how it can fit into your spirituality and connection to the divine. Enjoy this mini guide! We learn throughout our lives to block our openness to manifesting our dreams. We create blocks with social norms, false priorities, fear, influence, experiences, etc. When we learn to heal, trust and let go, that's when oneness happens... that when the magic happens. What Is Ritual? When it comes to energy, opportunities and dreams do not just drop from the sky. There must be some type of exchange or process of reciprocation. A magic practice allows us to tap into our truth and purpose to CREATE our highest reality. When we do a physical ritual, we are creating more self awareness and feeding our intentions energy. We are bringing action and symbolism to bring things to reality. Rituals are based on the concept that like energy attracts like energy. So, by becoming attuned to what you actually want and putting energy into what you want, you will become a magnet for all that's yours. This also has to do with the brain! Neurologically, what you focus on is what your brain will pick out around you. If you are walking around telling yourself a negative story, your reticular activating system will pick out what confirms that story. The opposite is true with a magic practice! We are training our brains to get on board. We are adjusting the scope through which we view the world! The law of impermanence tells us that change is the nature of life. When we embrace magic, we use ritual to steer the change we want to see. Words and beliefs matterSetting an intention when embracing magic requires you to carefully craft and write down what you want to manifest and BELIEVE it to be true. It must be concise and you must be confident in what you want. One way to do this is by creating an affirmation, usually one or two sentences, that is repeated a certain number of times. Another way is to create an incantation, which usually is more of a poem and often rhymes. Writing them down and/or speaking them during your ritual is a direct way to communicate the energy you are wishing to attract. You can sing them too! A ritual found in almost every religion is humming and singing. Colors and their symbolismOrange, Yellow, and Gold:
